Mrs. Mary Ahern, wife of William Ahern, 305 East DeWald street, died yesterday morning at the family home following an illness of one year, due to complications. She was fifty-five years of age and was born in Ireland. She came to Fort Wayne thirty-five years ago and has resided here ever since. Mrs. Ahern was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church and of the rosary society and the Sacred Heart league. Surviving besides the husband are the following children— Thomas J., Elizabeth, Mrs. G. Muhler, Anna, Joseph, Nora and Catherine, all of Fort Wayne, and one brother, John Downey, of Chicago.
