At Wayside, June 19th, Mr. James Byrne, aged 85 years. He was born in County Down, Ireland, in 1816. When about a year old he came to this country, with his parents, settling in Montreal. From there they moved to Kingston and afterwards to Bathurst. It was there he married Miss Annie Doyle, of Drummond. They had ten children of whom eight survive with his widow: Mrs. Mahoney, Smith's Falls; Mrs. Russell, Bathurst; Mrs. Conlon, Glen Tay; Mrs. Murphy, Elmsley; Mrs. Herlehey, Bathurst; Mrs. Salmon, Smith's Falls; John and Bernard, of Drummond.

O'Hern, Johanna, nee Kennedy, wife of Officer John O'Hern, sister of Mrs. W. Burk, Thomas, Jerry and Hugh Kennedy, Aug. 13, 1900, native of Co. Tipperary. Funeral from resid., 2812 - 5th ave. to St. James Church to Mt. Olivet.
