MOST REVOLTING MURDER BY A FATHER.

An inquest was held on Friday in Kingscourt, county of CAVAN, on the body of an infant about a month old, named William MURRAY, who was murdered in the most savage manner by his father. The child was the offspring of an illicit intercourse between MURRAY and a female named Bridget HOLMES. The unnatural parent, having recently married, put the child out at nurse. On Wednesday he toon an opportunity of pouring a quantity of spirits of vitriol down the infant's throat, which burnt the tongue, bums, and lips in the most shocking manner. This monster then placed the body of the helpless infant on a fire, with a view of showing that the death was accidental. The jury returned a verdict of "Wilful murder," and MURRAY has been committed to Cavan gaol for trial.
