Two Tall Thieves

In the Night of the 9th Day of February, the Shop of John SKERRETT of Tuam
was broke open and robbed. Two Fellows, one Michael BURKE, a Joyner, and the
other John WILLIAMS, a Coach Harness maker, fled and are suspected for the
same. Said BURKE is of a  smooth Tallow colour'd Complexion, well made and
very wicked, about 5 feet 9 inches high. WILLIAMS, a sanguine Black
Complexion, about 5 feet 11 inches high, Speaks fast, with much assurance.
The first & 'tis believed the last defected out of the Army.

A Short Man From Roscommon

Whereas Connor LONICON hath run away from the Service of Mr Owen McDERMOTT
of Ballyglass in the County of Roscommon, and felonioussly carried with him
a Blue Worsted Shagg Frock Coat, with Silver Buttons.  In Justice to the
Publick, and to punish the Offender, I will give a Guinea Reward to any
Person who apprehends him. This Fugitive was bred in the Manor of Coothall
in the County of Roscommon, and is a squat fellow, Talks bad English,
appears about 30 years old, with a remarkable malevolent Cloud in his
