A report is in circulation, which we do not believe, but which, in justice to the individuals, we think it right to mention, to afford him opportunity to contradict it, namely—that Mr. Thomas George French, and Mr. Lewis, the Transport Agent, were Stewards to a Ball lately had in Cove, and that they had a difference, in consequence of Mr. French objecting to have any “Papists” at the party.
