INQUEST IN LIMERICK

An inquest was held by John Gleeson, Esq., on Tuesday last, on the body
of Miss Margaret Clancy, daughter of a respectable citizen, Mr. John
Clancy, Upper William-street. The deceased died suddenly this morning,
and it appearing from the evidence of Mr. Clancy, Apothecary,
William-street, that no other then natural causes, operated in producing
the event - the Jury returned a verdict in conformity with the medical
statement. An unpleasant controversy occurred in the course of the
inquiry, that led to the imposition of a fine of forty shillings, and
its reception, on one of the Jurors, who refused to sign the issue. The
controversy, curiously enough, arose from castor oil.
