Ennis Chronicle April 7 1827

    Margaret Carbery, for administering poison, to Thomas Carbery, was found guilty and sentenced to death, at the assizes of Maryborough. The facts of this unfortunate young girl's crime are already before the public. Induced by a young man, to whom she was about to be married, she administered poison, in buttermilk, to her father, mother, brothers and sisters, to obtain the property of the family.

Marriage
    Wednesday morning last, at Hollywell, the seat of her brother, Thomas Comyn, Esq., by the Very Rev. R. C. Dean of Kilfenora, Charles Mahon, Esq., of Newpark, to the beautiful and accomplished Matilda, second daughter of the late George Comyn, of Hollywell, Esq.
    Yesterday morning, Mr. James Gallery, of this town, Grocer and Wine Merchant, to Anne, daughter of the late William Dwyer of Anna, in this county, Esq.

Births
     In Baggot Street, Dublin, the lady of Rev. Charles Fitzgerald, of this town, of a son.
     At Erina, in this county, the lady of George Vincent, Esq., of a daughter.


The Rev. Mr. Kenny of Tulla, is appointed Parish Priest of Killaloe, vacant by the death of Rev. Mr. Corbett.
