Now, all persons claiming Estates or Interests on the said Premises, who may object to such Order, are hereby informed that the Commissioners will hear any application which any such Person may desire to bring before them, on Notice, to be served at the Office, 14, Henrietta-street, Dublin, within One Calendar Month, from the date thereof.
And all persons claiming Charges or Incumbrances on the said Premises, or any part there, are required to lodge a brief Statement of the Particulars thereof at the said Office, within Two Calendar Months from the date thereof, and also to send their respective Addresses, in order that they may receive notice at what time and what manner their claims should be established.

REDUCTION OF RENTS--Mr. Samuel N. KNIPE, on last week, succeeded in behalf of several tenants in the county of Fermanagh, whose lands are in the court of Chancery, before the master of the rolls, in getting a reduction of twenty per cent in their rents. These tenants hold by leases made in 1850.
CLERK OF PETTY SESSIONS AT CAVAN.--The magistrates presiding on the bench in Cavan have, on Friday last, appointed Mr. John M'CABE to the above office, vacant by the death of Mr. NAULTY. Mr. M'CABE has been for years clerk to the Messrs. Armstrong, solicitors, and from his abilities and general character, we think the magistrates could not have made a better selection. A great number of candidates were put forward, some of whom we consider fully capable of filling the office, yet notwithstanding, Mr. M'CABE was unanimously appointed. The following magistrates were in attendance:--Theophilus Thompson, Esq., in the chair; Robert Burrowes, Esq., H. T. Kilbee, Esq.; Robert Erskine, Esq., Abraham Brush, Esq., and William Smith, Esq.
MELANCHOLY ACCIDENT--LURGAN--Monday evening, at six o'clock, this town was thrown into a state of great excitement by a report that Mr. J. W. MURRAY, tobacconist, was drowned in Lough Neagh, near Lurgan, which unfortunately turned out to be true. It appears Mr. MURRAY had gone out to bathe, in company with some other gentleman, leaped into the water and was not seen afterwards. Although exertions were made to find the body they were not successful up to a late hour yesterday evening. Northern Whig.

On the 3rd inst., deeply and deservedly regretted by all who knew her, Miss LONGFIELD, of Merrion-square, Dublin, daughter of the late Colonel LONGFIELD, M.P., of Castle Mary, county Cork.
July 31, Eliza, the beloved and only daughter of Thomas PHILLIPS, Esq., J.P., Ahafin, county Monaghan.
On Tuesday, the 6th current, at Kingstown, the Rev. Joseph BEHAN, Professor of logic and ethics in Maynooth College; his real virtue, his unaffected piety, his charity, ever dispensed with a liberal hand, endeared him to all who knew him. He had not attained more than his 23rd year when by public Thesis he obtained the chair which he so ably held for five years from a host of distinguished competitors.
CAVAN GAOL--The Board of Superintendence has unanimously appointed Miss STURDY, sister to Mrs. DUGAN, to fill the office of assistant-matron in the Gaol--Mrs. D. having resigned in consequence of her marriage. Mrs. D. discharged the duties of her office with zeal and efficiency during a period of ten years, and we are certain the public would much regret her loss were it not for the happy cause which has deprived us of her services.
THANKS.--The Venerable Archdeacon BERESFORD has kindly given to the Rev. M. BRADY additional ground to be appropriated to the use of the upper Chapel of Larah, where he (the Archdeacon) is lord of the soil. Mr. BRADY, his parishioners, and the tenantry of the Archdeacon return him sincere thanks.
EXECUTION--On 27th ult. Patrick and Bridget HOWE were executed in front of the county gaol, for the murder of the late Mr. Arthur O'DONNELL of Knock. Neither of them made any public confession of their guilt; and the wretched man was so overcome by the fear of death that it was necessary to assist him up the ladder to the "drop". The woman, on the other hand, appeared quite firm and resolute, and endeavoured to cheer her brother by saying that it would be all over in a few minutes.--Clare Journal.
MAYO ELECTION--The nomination of candidates for Mayo took place on Thursday under circumstances promising a contest without recent parallel for excitement. Mr. Ousely HIGGINS was proposed by the Hon. Frederick CAVENDISH, proprietor of the Mayo Telegraph; Mr. Isaac BUTT, by Colonel Knox GORE; and Sir Richard O'DONNELL, by a Roman Catholic priest. After a two days' poll, Mr. HIGGINS was declared successful by a majority of 140 to 94.
DREADFUL MURDER IN THE KING'S COUNTY.--A dreadful murder has just been committed within two miles of the town of Birr. The victim was named PIKE, in the employment of Mr. CASSIDY, of Monasterevan. He was to have served several ejectments next week. He exchanged shots with one of the assassins--the other then shot him through the back, and struck him a violent blow on the forehead. He left a wife and family of four children. The body was found on the road at ten o'clock this morning.--Evening Mail.

INQUESTS--On Tuesday last Dr. KIRWAN received a requisition from the police to hold an inquest on the body of a woman named Anne STEPHENS, who had died suddenly during the previous night at 31, Leeson-street. On attending there and making inquiries, the coroner was satisfied that the deceased had died from natural causes, and that no inquest was necessary, and accordingly the body was interred at Mount Jerome cemetery. Subsequently a son-in-law of the deceased, who was present at the removal of her body, became impressed with the belief that she had been murdered by her husband, in consequence of finding her cloths torn, and seeing, as he alleged, marks of blood upon them; and he procured a warrant at College-street Police-office for the exhumation of the body, and the arrest of deceased's husband. The exhumation accordingly took place in the presence of the coroners, Messrs. DAVIS and HARTY, and of Dr. KIRWAN. An inquiry into the facts of the case preliminary to the holding of the inquest took place, and a post mortem examination was made of the body of the deceased. The results of these steps confirmed the opinion entertained by Dr. KIRWAN, and showed that there were no grounds whatever for holding an inquest. The husband of the deceased, who had been previously detained in custody, was at once released, and Dr. Kirwan advised him to take proceedings against the party who had caused his imprisonment.
On Saturday, Dr. Kirwan held an inquest at No. 5, Ardee-st., on the body of a new-born infant, which was found in a cellar there, tied up in a sack, with a cord round it neck. A verdict was found of wilful murder against some person unknown.

DEATH OF COMMISSIONER FARRELL--With much regret we have to announce the death Richard FARRELL, Esq., one of the Commissioners of the Insolvent Debtors' Court, which took place on Thursday morning last, at his residence in North Great George's-street. His reputation as a lawyer was very great, before he was elevated to the Bench. But it is not our vocation to speak of his professional abilities. From a long and intimate acquaintance with the man, we can only echo the sentiments of his friends--that few persons have quitted this life, more sincerely regretted for his amiable and kindly qualities than Richard FARRELL.--Post.
Mr. Sergeant O'BRIEN and Mr. BALDWIN are spoken of as likely to succeed the late lamented Mr. Commissioner FARRELL, as judge of the Insolvent Debtors' Court, in the event of the appointment being declined, as it is anticipated it will, by the ATTORNEY and SOLICITOR GENERALS.
Miss. BALL, the sister of Mr. Justice BALL, and superioress of the Convent at Rathfarnham, has purchased Mrs. PUTLAND's beautiful residence at Bray with 40 acres of the grounds at £7,500. It is intended to found a Convent there.
The Present Convent property in Ireland is, stated to be worth upwards of £700,000.
Sir Colman O'LOGHLEN, Bart., and Mr. Stephen Woulfe FLANAGAN, secretary to the Incumbered Estates Commissioner, visited Sligo on Tuesday last.

DEATHS
On the morning of Friday the 23rd current, at the residence of his uncle in Ballinagh, John James BRADY, Esq., aged 24 years. Mr. Brady commenced his studies in the Kilmore academy and completed them in Clongowes-wood college. In both places he was beloved by his fellow-students and respected by his superiors; the he was in every manly sport--the VERY first in his studies, as the high honours conferred upon him in either establishment testify. Having left Clongowes he applied himself to the study of the law, in Dublin, and was on the very eve of being called to the bar when a cold not properly attended to superinduced consumption and it carried him off an early, but, we trust, a not unprepared victim. Endowed by nature with talents of the rarest order, he had a mind richly stored with acquired knowledge; warm in his predilections, calling no man his enemy; his purse was ever opened to the needy, his advice and counsel always ready for those who wanted it; loving his country with an ardent feeling, he lived beloved and died regretted. Reader, no adulation is here, but a true though very imperfect outline of the character of the deceased--the passing tribute of one, whose proudest boast is that Mr. BRADY ranked him amongst his friends.
On the 24th instant, at Tunbridge-wells, George Richard ROBINSON, Esq., M.P., for Poole, and late Chairman of Lloyds, aged 69.
On the 22nd August, in the 73rd year of his age, at his residence, 35, North Great George's-street, Richard FARRELL, Esq., Q.C., Commissioner of the Court for the Relief of Insolvent Debtors in Ireland.
